Our Pet Service was a sunny, rainbow filled occasion for parents, children and animals! It was wonderful to see all the much loved dogs, cats, horses (Speedy and Marshall), hamsters, tortoises (Flash made his first appearance this year) and ducklings turn up to be blessed by the Reverend Mike Saunders who led our service with enthusiasm and thoughtfulness. Not to mention a spider, a slug and earwigs, and Woody and Lousy – yes, you’ve guessed it, – woodlice! Those without pets brought a range of toys such as dinosaurs and tigers and we also remembered much loved pets Betty and Pom Pom who passed away this week. Together we celebrated all animals great and small and enjoyed being part of the Pre-Prep community at the start of a busy year! Thank you to all our readers in Years 1 and 2 – for their prayers, pictures and thoughts about their pets. And to everyone who filled the grounds of Cheam with their singing! All Things Bright and Beautiful never sounded so good!
