All the children in the Pre-Prep were treated to a 30-minute live performance of some of Bach’s best-loved works, accompanied by a jaw-dropping bubble display. Visitors Julie Payne and Aelfwyn Shipton from ‘Music for Miniatures’ played a range of instruments including the oboe, recorder, violin, piano, and even boomwhackers, and performed popular favourites such as ‘Sheep may safely graze’, ‘Jesu, joy of man’s desiring’, and ‘Prelude in C’. Bubbles were formed using hoops, nets, hands, and a hoover, and provided an awe-inspiring backdrop to the music. The half-hour sessions went by in a flash, with both audiences demanding encores!
