Congratulations to the eco team on their fabulous efforts towards meeting several sustainability goals over the course of the last school year. Cheam was re-awarded its Green Flag status (this time with distinction). This is a very meaningful award as it highlights that the school and its pupils are learning not only to be aware of climate and environmental issues, but they are taking action towards being responsible citizens and protectors of our environment. This covers a range of actions, from planting trees, creating habitats, recycling, fundraising, energy-saving, educational awareness presentations and so forth.
We are also very excited to welcome Mr Curtis as our new Head of Sustainability who will guide and inspire our Eco Committee with incredible passion and support.
The cycle starts again now for the year ahead and we hope everyone in the Cheam community will embrace sustainability issues so that our youth have the best attitude towards managing our planet positively for future generations. Well done!
