Thirty-five Cheam cross-country runners kicked off their season on Friday last week with a competition at Eagle House. It was a team event with the runners’ finishing places being added up, hoping to achieve the lowest score for their four runners. In all races, the Cheam runners were well grouped and not far off the podium. For some starting their XC journey, it was a great experience to take forwards and for some of our regulars, it was a joy to see them back in action. With approximately sixty runners in each race, they did themselves and the school proud.
