Cheam Book Week

On Monday, 24th February, the school welcomed popular Children’s writer Sam Copeland, author of books such as Charlie Changes into a Chicken and his latest, Charlie Morphs into a Mammoth.Mr Copeland entertained staff and pupils with his “Disgusting Animals” quiz. We learned a lot, and possibly too much, about animals such as the dung beetle, the hag fish and hoopoe. It turns out the children of Cheam feel the hoopoe is the most disgusting (don’t Google it – we’ve warned you!). The children then had an opportunity to ask questions and get books signed by Mr Copeland. It was a great visit and we hope to have him back soon!
