Year 8 | Alternative Energy Presentations

In Science, Year 8 are focusing on presentation skills to share their research and demonstrate their understanding of alternative energy sources to fossil fuels. The presentations covered how each type of energy works and the pros and cons of each energy source. We covered hydroelectric, geothermal, nuclear, wind, tidal, wave, biomass and solar energy. The pupils have been developing their presentations with particular attention to streamlining the content, making it clear and concise yet detailed and visually stimulating. They worked on forming uncluttered slides and used the notes section in presenter mode on PowerPoint.
