Cheam is blessed with an amazing green campus, and the pupils are in amongst nature every day, as part of their learning, socialising and playing. From Cheam Tops to experiential Geography classes and woodland learning, pupils are energised by being so close to nature. Below are some of their comments:

I am very grateful that we have trees in our school. We have a green environment and I am thankful because lots of other schools don’t have these grounds. We can have fun outside and be free to roam around. -Eloise

I love to have trees in the school because we can play in the forests during boarding for Hide and Seek and Capture the Flag. We can also go on walks in the Cheam Top shrubs. -Henry

We are lucky to have these trees for playing and Cheam Tops for swings, and shrubs and little pieces of fun. -Dickon

I love having trees and nature around me at school, it makes me feel happy because in break times there are more options. In winter and autumn it is lovely because all the leaves fall and it creates a nice atmosphere. -Cara

I am very thankful for having trees in our school grounds. Not very many schools have this much space so I feel very lucky. This means we have a better school environment and can have more fun outside instead of being stuck inside like lots of kids at our age are. -Imo

I like being in a school with trees because we can do lots of activities in the woods, learn more about geography, and at summer camp I love doing hide in the woods. The forest is very pretty in winter and autumn time. -Lois

I appreciate the fact that I attend a forest school, because whenever I go outside and down to Cheam Tops, the grounds look amazing; they really brighten my day. -Zafeer
