Leadership Academy Presentation | Sol Campbell

Years 6 to 8 attended an inspiring talk hosted by Sol Campbell. This presentation was the first in Cheam’s new leadership initiative which aims to invite a wide variety of successful leaders from many fields to speak to our prep students. If this first talk is anything to go by, our pupils will be learning some very valuable life lessons and taking away pearls of wisdom that may guide their thoughts and actions going into the future.

Pupils watched a short montage of some of Mr Campbell’s most exciting moments on the pitch as a youngster with West Ham, then on to displays for Tottenham, Arsenal and his seventy-three caps for England. Through a Q&A, the children plied Sol with questions about his youth, his football career and his several achievements post-football. All of these were answered in a way that connected with leadership, choices, and making the most of the situation one finds themself in. We would like to thank Mr Campbell for giving his time to share his thoughts with the pupils. It was a fantastic way to begin what we hope will be an inspirational programme for our Cheam youth.
