Year 8 enjoyed a fantastic day out at Box Hill in Surrey. As part of their CE Geography Fieldwork project the children investigated the impacts of tourism in the area. The area came into the public eye after hosting the Olympic cycling road race during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. With incredible views and plenty of visitors it is clearly an area which needs to be protected. The children conducted environmental impact assessments, questionnaires and also conducted trampling surveys. Over the next few weeks they will write a report with their findings. A great day of Geography fieldwork: thank you to Mr Pike, and gappers Tom and Phoebe for joining us!
