Mill on the Brue | Cheam School

This year’s Mill on the Brue adventure for our Year 2 children, was a wet, windy and very occasionally sunny affair! However, it did not stop 27 children from being enthusiastic and energetic throughout. From the moment the coach left the Cheam car park the children were ready to meet any challenges, from refraining from asking “Are we nearly there yet?” within five minutes of travelling to carrying their own suitcases and bags to their rooms and organising their belongings. And that was just the start of it!We had two days of climbing, jumping, running, sliding, sledging, teambuilding, paddling, crawling, swinging, zooming, laughing, chattering excitement! Some children faced each activity with enthusiasm, others took their time to meet the challenge, but there were three certainties for each child:They all tried something they had never tried beforeThey were all nervous at some point, but were prepared to have a goThey encouraged each other throughoutHappy, confident, independent children! What was the worst thing about the trip? They won’t be doing it again until the leavers course in Year 8!Flickr album: Mill on the Brue – 2021 | Height: auto | Theme: Default | Skin: Default Skin
