A little more water than usual entered welly boots ... | Cheam School

The Year 8s enjoyed a glorious day out on Monday 14th September investigating changes along the course of the River Chess near Amersham. On a blistering hot day, a little more water than usual entered welly boots and was splashed around during an enjoyable and educational visit to this small chalk stream. The children were looking at how rivers change from source to confluence. A number of things were measured including the width, depth, velocity and bedload. As part of their Common Entrance Geography programme the children will now write up a detailed project which will then be submitted to their senior schools.Flickr album: Y8 Fieldtrip – Sept 2020 | Height: auto | Theme: Default
