Yet another successful trip to Burgundy with Maison Claire-Fontaine!Once again, the children made Cheam proud by being as engaged and enthusiastic as ever. Indeed, 7TM and 7MBS were fully immersed for a week and played the game by expressing themselves in French at every opportunity. Whether they were in French lessons, visiting local towns, interacting with people from the market, climbing trees, making mosaics, visiting castles, cooking French recipes or even tasting French delicacies such as snails, all children gave their very best whilst always following French instructions.Cheam’s famous trips to Burgundy always strengthen the children’s confidence and gives them a different, more genuine dimension of what French culture is all about. Indeed, being able to communicate with people abroad and share knowledge and interests is one of the most enriching experiences one can get. The children also learnt to be more independent. Indeed, for some, it was their first time away from their parents and, despite the occasional feeling of home sickness, the pupils always come out of this journey a bit more grown up, resilient and strong.Mr Small, Mr Shaughnessy and myself are very proud of our Year 7s and their teachers from Maison Claire Fontaine were, yet again, delighted to host our children.Tiphaine Monsauret, Head of French Flickr album: French trip 2020 | Height: auto | Theme: Default
