This concert on Friday, 28 February provided a wonderful opportunity for exam candidates in the forthcoming spring session to share one of their pieces with a supportive and appreciative audience.Parents heard a diverse range of music with performers from the string, brass, voice, piano and woodwind families. The children also enjoyed putting their performance etiquette into practice by announcing their pieces and bowing after playing.Public performances prior to an exam have proven useful for pupils by helping to highlight areas in pieces that could benefit from a little more practice but also by allowing them to showcase areas in which they feel more confident. Many thanks to the teachers who helped prepare the children and congratulations to all the performers … one week to go!
