Year 3 visit Highclere Castle

The Year 3 children visited Highclere Castle to explore the Ancient Egyptian Exhibition and stunning grounds. We learnt lots about the discovery of Tutankhamun and all the wonderful hidden treasures with him in the burial chamber. We found out more about how people would have lived and the rituals surrounding mummification. Everyone had the opportunity to complete some Egyptian craft activities with some children even dressing up as pharaoh or princess! Finally, we had a stroll around the castle grounds and ventured into the Secret Garden.
